Kristy Adams, a local business woman has been selected as the Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Sussex at the next general election.

She will defend the seat for the Conservatives.

Following the recent boundary changes Mid Sussex constituency has now been split in two.

Mims Davies has been selected to represent the new seat of East Grinstead and Uckfield.

Members of Mid Sussex Conservative Association voted to select Kristy as their candidate at a Special General Meeting held on Saturday 2nd September

at Warden Park School in Cuckfield.

Kristy grew up and lives in the constituency, she attended Handcross Primary and Warden Park schools.

Kristy was elected as a Mid Sussex District Councillor for Bolney, she has been an active campaigner on issues that matter to local residents here in Mid Sussex.

In 2022, she worked with local residents to protect Bolney village from over development and it is a priority for her to defend the rest of Mid Sussex.

Her business skills in the retail sector and the building industry make her an ideal candidate to engage the key stakeholders in delivering the town centre

 Burgess Hill needs and deserves.

Kristy will also champion a modern arts and entertainment centre for Haywards Heath.

Speaking after her selection as candidate, Kristy said:

“I am immensely honoured to be selected as the next Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Mid Sussex. Mims Davies MP has done, and continues to do, an   excellent job as the area’s MP and we work as a team. I am proud to call Mid Sussex my  home, and I’m looking forward to meeting with residents, businesses   and community groups across the constituency.”

“As a local resident and small business owner I already understand the issues that matter to Mid Sussex so I can hit the ground running.”

“Before entering politics, I had a successful career as a retail manager working for M&S and Jaeger and now I run a loft conversion design business in the building industry. I am confident that the skills and experience that I can bring to Parliament will ensure a strong and effective voice for Mid Sussex.”

"As we approach the next general election, I am looking forward to running a positive and respectful campaign that the people of this constituency expect and deserve.”
